We are happy to help you with your Medicaid benefits

Home health care may seem like a luxury, but in reality it is usually less expensive than staying in the hospital, especially if you work with an approved Medicaid/Medicare service like Timeless Home Care. Our physician-authorized, in-home medical care provides a wide range of health and social services to fit the needs of homebound patients all over Broward County. Everything from wound care to injections are covered by Medicare or Medicaid for those that qualify, allowing your loved one to relax and concentrate on recovery.

How it works

If your family member has Medicare/Medicaid and his/her physician recommends in-home care, then the physician will write a Plan of Care. This plan will be meticulously evaluated by the staff at Timeless Home Care to determine which steps will best help your loved one reach the plan’s stated goals. Throughout the entire care and treatment process, our professional team will communicate with the physician as well as you and your loved one, keeping everyone informed on progress.

Eligibility for home health services through Medicare/Medicaid

Medicare will help pay for home care if your loved one:

  • Cannot leave the house without the assistance of a person or special equipment
  • Needs skilled nursing care or skilled therapy services
  • Has a signed health certification provided by their physician stating that they are homebound and require skilled nursing care. The doctor must also create a Plan of Care for them and review it on a regular basis
  • Receives care from a Medicare/Medicaid-certified home health agency (HHA)

If you do not meet the home care requirements for Medicare, there are Medicaid home and community-based service (HCBS) waiver programs you may qualify for. Talk to the friendly staff at Timeless Home Care to find out more!

Medicare/Medicaid coverage

Both Medicare and Medicaid offer full coverage for home health services with a few exceptions. All services depend on your physician’s orders and are case by case. Your loved one can receive home health care services for as long as they need it, provided that they continue to qualify and have their physician update their Plan of Care every 60 days.

Medicare/Medicaid covers all intermittent:

  • Skilled Nursing Care
  • Physical Therapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Speech/Language Therapy

Medicare/Medicaid does not cover:

  • 24-hour care at home
  • Meals delivered to your home
  • Homemaker services like shopping and cleaning if no other care is required

Dealing with Medicare/Medicaid can seem overwhelming, but the friendly and compassionate team at Timeless Home Care can help sort things out! We are Medicare/Medicaid-Certified and Joint Commission Accredited, so you can count on us for the absolute best possible services.
